I'll be honest with you. I used to be the person who set ambitious goals every January and quietly abandoned them by March.
Every year, the cycle repeats. I'd buy a new planner (even designed my own at one point), feel that surge of possibility, write down everything I wanted to achieve, and tell myself this time would be different. But within weeks, the motivation would fade. Life would get busy. The goals would get forgotten.
I recognised the need to change how I approached my goals.
So I swung to the other extreme. I became obsessed with how all my goals could come together, trying to find the perfect system. Then I'd jump into action without stopping to evaluate whether any of it contribute to my vision and the life I want to live. I rarely paused to ask if these goals would actually help me live the life I wanted. After all, isn't that what goal-setting should be all about?
Then something shifted.
